Some days I feel like I have a little Buddha in the making on my hands, a four year old son (4 and a 1/2 to be precise) seemingly wise beyond his years offering me kernels of wisdom only innocent children who so often so clearly see life as it is, can.
A month ago saw me being commissioned to join a group of ab-fab bloggers Ella of La Petite Anglaise, Rosie from Cider with Rosie, Catherine of Not Dressed as Lamb and Ambarina of Beauty Passionista) to undergo a bareMinerals make over and discuss the beauty label's new and exciting bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation for a film on their site.
Isn't summer time simply the best (when they kids aren't making us feel like we're going slowly insane that is)- so far we've had some gorgeous Vitamin D fuelled days in the garden and out and about in glorious Yorkshire to make us happy.
Why not get yourself a lovely glass or jug (ha) of Pimms and enjoy some of my favourite photos taken so far this summer-carefree, fun days pf the kids enjoying the rays:
My friend Claire invited us to the preview of Stockeld's Park's Summer Adventure a week ago, to enjoy a day and evening of super summery fun for all the family! I took my Mum and kids along, Oliver, 4 and Alexander, 21 months.
We've all been there right, told those little white lies or chucked those flipping loud toys, to well simply SURVIVE this crazy thing called parenthood!

I love a good girly night and last Saturday saw me celebrating my great friend Rachel’s birthday at the Restaurant Bar and Grill, Leeds-a place I also reviewed for one of my weekly posts for Grazia Live (I promise you...
We all get stressed out at times and it's inevitable isn't it, with the constant juggling of kids, work and life. The endless pursuit of finding balance along with precious time out is stressful in itself-I need a lie down just reflecting on it all!
...Some days I want to high five myself for achieving all of the above and other times, I feel like I'm failing miserably.
The last few months in particular though have seen me making some small changes to my life that have made a HUGE difference-I feel calmer, happier and more in control than ever before so here's my list:
This family LOVES Liverpool, I nearly studied English at the university there before opting for the bright lights of London and Goldsmiths, University of London- but now we live in Leeds, we like to visit it a lot-for culture, shopping, great food and family fun.
Last weekend, the village next to ours, Wetherby in Leeds held what was quite an impressive food festival-Wetherby Food Festival to be precise- bursting with world cuisine, entertainment for the kids and although out of their control, the sunniest day we've had this year! Woohoo!
