The theme of Christmas this year seemed to be relaxation for us-pure uninterrupted family time, with a self imposed social media silence allowing me to focus solely on the little ones.
So yesterday saw me head to Manchester for a special meeting with renowned modelling agency Nemesis. One of the biggest modelling agencies in the UK, they discovered and made so many of today's British stars, famous: Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Melanie Sykes, Vernon Kay, Michelle Keegan and as of today, they're representing little old me!
I love working with Cosatto, they really shine some twinkly stardust over my life whenever we collaborate or they ask me to review yet another gorgeous product from their collection-it's a tough job I know ;)... So without further ado, let me share in detail the fabulous Supa Firebird Pushchair we were sent for little Alexander, 2...Oh and the most fun day you could imagine at their HQ where they unveiled the lushest of lush Spring/Summer range that really will make your summer sunny even if it rains!
It's a common misconception that being kind to yourself is well, a little self-indulgent and ridiculous but it's quite the opposite when you think about it, the kinder you are to yourself, the more accepting you are of you, the more energy and time you have for others and the happier life can be.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving for my US and Canadian friends and I'm proud to write that a large part of my readership are now actually based in America. I've always had an affinity with Americans, my closest friends at Uni were from LA, New York and Chicago and I miss them all madly (thank goodness for FB and the rare London or LA get together).
Yesterday was a rather special day for this family as along with my husband Peter, our child Oliver, 4 and my friend Sharmin who was visiting from Amsterdam, I attended the world premiere of Paddington.
This Sunday I turn 34 and on the 10th my blog turned a whopping 4! Honest Mum was officially born on the 10th of November in 2010 but like to celebrate my very FIRST POST along with my birthday!
Those that follow this blog know my great, sometimes obsessive LOVE of make up. I refer to it as my armour, it gives me confidence and helps to hide dark circles from the many sleepless nights I suffer sadly (thanks kids)-making me feel awake on the outside if not in.
The National Media Museum, situated in the heart of Bradford, UNESCO City of Film, frequented often as child, truly contributed to me becoming a filmmaker.
Last weekend saw my youngest son, Alexander turn 2, two whole years!
I know every parent on the planet says the same thing, but doesn't time fly, people?!
