A few weeks ago on the final day of the season until it reopens in February again to the public, we enjoyed an incredible day playing with diggers at Diggerland in Yorkshire. Yep you read that right, I along with the kids got up in some massive diggers and had a play and it was the most fun we’ve had in ages.
Oliver loved steering the digger and retrieving bricks from the cement mix! A great opportunity for kids to take control and get in the driving seat, literally!
We even shot a little film of of the day here so you can see how much fun it is:
Having visited before, it was pretty awesome to treat the kids to another trip, made even better by the fact we were reviewing (thanks Hannah of Mums’ Days for recommending us!) The Yorkshire based Diggerland is in Wakefield so just a short drive from Leeds for us too.
There’s something so empowering about getting up in a big ol’ digger and clugging through the mud and there was lots to do from the toddler years and above!
I think I’ve found a new vocation! What do you think, is yellow my colour?
We also rode on trains and discovered dinosaurs off the beaten track-
Raced on tracks and laughed until our faces hurt…
Oh and we all chickened out of this!
A quick pit stop in the gift shop where we picked up some digger stickers and pens!
…As the sunset, diggers never looked more beautiful.
A perfect end to a joyous day.
Diggerland reopens to the public on February 14th 2015.
We were given complimentary day passes in return for this honest review.
