I'm writing this for parents of children who are starting school for the first time this September because it's as big a milestone for you as it is for your child.
So we've been in Cannes for the last week after a blissful 6 days in Avignon where we're returning on Thursday-and it must be said, holidaying by the coast with my kids is totally different to my usual champagne-fuelled film festival shenanigans (naturally)- but it's been just as awesome (despite the constant urge to get booty shaking by night)!
It's not often you receive an invitation to attend a premiere at Kensington Palace and yet that's exactly what happened to me just last week. A blogger's life is never short of surprises that is for sure!
Firstly, big thanks to Eurostar for inviting us to the magical town of Avignon in the South of France- and to the Avignon Tourist Board for their advice and generosity too-merci beaucoup!
I know what you're thinking, dramatic title right? But it's true, I pretty much hate myself during PMT time which can be anything from 1 day (lucky) to 1 week or more (un-freaking-lucky) so I'm writing this from one honest mama to another because if you're suffering too and hate yourself when it's that time of the month, you're not alone because I am too.
Let's not pretend the summer holidays at 6 or more weeks off school for kids, are not tough to get through. Yes for SOME, some of it, it's fun in the sun (when it doesn't rain so 2% of the time) but for a flipping mammoth amount (read 5 weeks) my kids tend to want to kill each other, me, wreck my house, and my mind.
I'm often asked if my hair is fake or not, so when the Daily Mail got in touch asking if I'd like to appear in a feature on real hair vs hair extensions it seemed like a fitting opportunity! Eagle-eyed followers will spot me in print and on the homepage of Femail today!
Laura Hamilton is best known for her presenting skills on A Place In The Sun, but she is also mother of two young children. During her last pregnancy Laura put on 4 stone but with the help of celebrity fitness guru John Beeby she lost her baby weight and has launched fitness app 'Laura Hamilton’s Full Body Workout'.
Where do I start with the most amazing lunch of my life?! Truly. The company. Food. Ambience. Service. The delightful energy that cheesily fed my soul as much as my tum (!). I shut my eyes and found myself on the French Rivieria in the middle of London.
The Dalloway Terrace in the Bloomsbury Hotel is EVERYTHING and more.
Regular readers will know that I'm a huge fan of the French kidswear boutique Melijoe.com, so it's a treat to interview its founder Nathalie Genty for the latest instalment of Wonderful Women.
