Hi! I’m Vicki, mum to a teen, tween and 3 year old! I’m an award-winning filmmaker, content creator and author working across print, digital and TV. Out now: I contribute to this transparent, insight Out now: I contribute to this transparent, insightful piece on the rise of kid influencers in the new issue of @goodhousekeepinguk, sharing how I pivoted into an accidental digital job in 2010 after a hard-won career as an award winning screenwriter and TV director quickly realising that the inflexibility of the industry no longer suited my new life as a mum. I started my blog at the advent of blogging and Facebook, some say online writers like myself were pioneering but we had no way of knowing how life and work would evolve. Having directed children in my former career, I’ve always been careful about how and when my children have appeared on my platforms, and that will of course be different for each individual. My kids have all grown in confidence thanks to my online career and as my boys have grown older, they don’t feature as much. They’re grateful for the perks of my job but most of all they’re thankful I’ve been more present for them thanks to a flexible, remote job online that has allowed me to utilise my previous career’s transferable skills and push some boundaries on the way, helping, hopefully for more creative mothers online to be taken seriously, because, well we certainly have influence. #press #kidfluencer #mumlife #momboss blogger
