The new Sway ‘n Grow from Graco is the perfect soothing swing and chair solution for little ones, which adapt into a big chair for your slightly older children, with my daughter Florence, 3, testing it out recently.

Being big fans of Graco since my first baby was born back in 2010, Florence, my youngest child, newly 3, can vouch that they are a brand you can trust: stylish, functionable, dependable and long-lasting with great prices to boot!

Packed full of innovative features with contemporary parenting in mind, the Sway ‘n Grow comes with three modes, making it suitable all the way from birth up to age 4 and comes with Bluetooth technology too so parents can personalise their baby’s playlist direct from their phone.

In mode one, the Sway ‘n Grow is the ultimate comforting cocoon for newborns up to around six months (9kg). The newborn insert and 5-point harness keep baby snug and safe and the 6 side-to-side swaying speeds and 4-speed vibration provide soothing relaxation. Parents and little ones alike will enjoy the silent magnetic motion motor for swaying and the ability to adjust the soother’s height for closer interactions.

From around 6 months up to 12 months (up to 11kg), mode two can be used for babies who are sitting up but still want that soothing sway feature. Once little ones are toddling around, the Sway ‘n Grow converts into its third mode, a comfy child chair suitable up to around 4 years old (18kg).

One of the most popular features of Graco’s latest innovation in child soothers, is the Bluetooth capability, which allows parents to stream music from their mobile device through the soother’s speakers. In addition, the Sway ‘n Grow comes ready with 9 melodies and 9 nature sounds.

Parents will love the simplicity of the Sway ‘n Grow’s touch controls – which can even store baby’s favourites with a simple touch. The soother’s sleek, modern design and on-trend neutral colour palette will complement any home’s styling too and ours sits in our vibrant lounge so Florence can relax in it watching Frozen or listening to her favourite fairytales.

As a tall 3 year old in the 96th percentile, the chair is likely to last six months so our only criticism is for the chair to be a little larger to accomodate taller 3 year olds up to the age of 4.

This is the ideal chair to buy for your baby which will grow with your child however. Thumbs up from us, we just wish we’d know about it sooner!
