Sleep-deprivation isn't just for parents of newborns, I'm still waiting for my 5 year old, Oliver to sleep through the night, every night. Really.
Both he and Alexander are light sleepers like their Mama and both will usually wake up at least once a night if not more. Good times.
...And it's not just us who are suffering, the majority of parents I've asked recently, seem to be too. It appears we are all relentlessly searching for the holy grail of consistent sleep-argh remember the full 8 hours pre-kids. It's but a distant memory for myself and so many.
For a start, my eldest son Oliver has pretty much (for now at least), got over his most recent bout of jealousy towards his younger brother Alexander, and dare I say it, they're actually playing well together. I even caught Oliver kissing his little wee sibling last night. It was what womb-stirring dreams are made of.
I found this picture of Oliver the other day (then nearly 2) in an adorable little Santa's outfit and thought I'd share it with you! One year is such a long time for toddlers, Oliver has become a lively, independent little chap who wouldn't let me dress him as Santa this year! (Not fair!) I’ll hopefully get one more wear out of it with Baby Alexander then I might have to consider passing it onto someone else or recycling it with other baby clothes.
Check out my little heart melter!!
From the moment they're born they melt your heart. This week Oliver has been utterly adorable planting kisses on me at every opportunity and telling me I'm beautiful. He's a charmer, alright. I wanted to share this picture of him with you all. I'm so proud of what a fine and funny young boy he is growing into you. He sure makes me a better person by the day.
