I love the sales, but can't stand IRL sale shopping.
'Tis the season to be jolly- and to hit the January sales soon enough of course, too fashionistas!
When I attended the Harrods' Christmas press preview in July, I was lucky enough to meet hair stylist to the stars and Creative Director of Urban Retreat, Harrods, Andrew Barton. Charming Andrew kindly invited me into the salon during our chat, promising me a beautiful blow dry and it certainly did not disappoint!.
As all you parents will know, it's rare to get 'couple time' when kids come along, and the last time Peter and I got a night away together was way back in June. A whole season ago then
It's my birthday tomorrow (Monday), so on Friday I decided to treat myself to a little shopping trip in Leeds with my Publicist and friend, Hayley.
It’s incredibly easy to lose track of how much you’re spending when shopping, believe me, I know!
Fridays are usually my day off unless I have a shoot I can't move but then I flip it to a Thursday.
Whilst I mourn the end of summer for the weather, I happily console myself in the fact the change in seasons means I can dig my Autumn/Winter wardrobe our, as well as treat myself to a few pieces in keeping with fashions top new trends.
The idea of earning money from shopping almost sounds too good to be true but fear not my dear readers, it is a THING and you can shop guilt-free knowing you're getting the best deals around with money back guaranteed!
When it comes to my wardrobe, I usually like to spend hours researching and planning my next purchases. I love fashion (and when I say love I actually mean I have a borderline obsession), so I enjoy nothing more than grabbing a cuppa and flicking through the glossies or perusing online at the latest trends and must-have items of the season.
It's already Friday again with a new and long weekend upon us with the bank holiday in the UK (yay) so I thought I better share last weekend with you all, and quick! I love reflecting on our weekends together, our precious family time, where we switch off from the week before, simply hang out, enjoy delicious food, at home, or out, and take in the lush Yorkshire countryside we live in and relax.
This weekend saw us ensure 'passportgate' never happens again with a trip to very lush Liverpool, one of our favourite cities in the UK, to submit and order Oliver's new passport (yay)! Gloriously sunny for the most part it was ice creams at the docks and some shopping in my favourite city of style, with new jeans and shirts for Peter, Topshop frocks for I and some toys for the boys...
Last week saw 'part' of this family spend 7 days in Marbella, staying at the palatial Casa Haniel, a James Villa Holidays' villa in San Pedro, above, for a fabulous, relaxing, fun and invigorating week away.
Last Saturday, we made the 1 1/2 hour drive to Manchester from Leeds for the Christmas Bricktacular at the Trafford Centre.
Fun at Trinity Kitchen.
...So today at the supermarket, something truly lovely happened. And just when you've got to thinking that we live in a tough old cynical world...
One of my oldest, closest (and most gorgeous) friends Emma is in London from LA over Christmas so this weekend was all about quality time together, catching up face to face (Skype can never compare but helps since she moved Stateside), Christmas shopping and of course partying in sparkly London town!
