If there is one thing Patience Brewster is, it is an honest mum.
Motherhood always came first, now and back in the late 70’s early 80’s, what she refers to as the dark ages, at a time when it was not so easy to work at home.
No daycare at first, no computers. But it provided the best of both worlds as she illustrated children’s books with babies on her desk, and as her children got older, painted for galleries and for stationery companies and then designs for a huge international gift company.

Saturday saw me train-it to Birmingham, taking my Mum along for the ride (my biggest supporter, it was so sweet she wanted to hear me speak) as I shared my experience as a full time blogger at Tots100's Blog Camp in Birmingham.
Always a stationary lover, I have more notebooks in my house than dark chocolate bars (and that's saying something), lined ones, black ones, retro ones, flowery ones, neon ones that can't be lost, they're literally everywhere...by my bedside table, on my dressing table in between the perfume bottles and lipsticks, in my home office, the cupboard overflowing with wrapping paper and cards, on the playroom's art desk...you get the picture!
We are in the midst of buying a new family home so vacations are not top priority right now but a lot of my friends are heading abroad for some super sunny rays in the February half term holidays and have asked me for tips. All this thought of holidays means we can't wait to book our own summer holiday!
