Oh the wonderful weekend, where did it go? It feels so long ago now and it’s only Tuesday, and I’m missing running through russet fields at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and breathing in that crisp autumnal air, squinting at sunlight filtering through the trees.
Now all we have is fog- a thick, grey, blanket of fog that makes me fear getting behind the wheel and it saddens me so.
Thank goodness for blogging hey and being able to reflect and share prettier days. Roll on the next weekend! .
Here are is our weekend in pictures-the iconic poppy sculptures as part of Wave was as moving as it was beautiful and we felt privileged to catch it on its UK wide tour.
The boys cracked up us throughout the weekend, they rode together in Xander’s pushchair, one on top of the other, laughed their way through the winding woodland and cackled at playing pooh sticks. It was a perfect kind of day.
We are all obsessed with Julian Opie’s ‘Galloping Horse’-the juxtaposition of the LED, animated light installation among the trees in this historic park is genius.
Back home, Xander fell fast asleep by the time we set about Trick or Treating so it was Oliver and I who hit the streets.
Oliver loved dressing up as Frankenstein (even if he scared his own mother)! and this mama here loved sharing all his sweets-chocolate buttons with a cup of tea might be my favourite treat of all time!
Back from pounding the streets for sweets, I laughed out loud as Oliver answered the door to a group of tweens and curtly requested they, ‘Please be quiet, there’s a young child asleep upstairs’. What a kid! 5 going on 50 hey!
…Sunday saw us get together with my folks for Sunday lunch at one of their award winning restaurants, The Olive Tree before a little shoot with my Mama in her new gifted outfit by Celuu available at John Lewis, in this stunning, effortlessly stylish LDB and pink waterfall cardigan. Mum felt a million dollars!
Thanks to Yosa for my beautiful necklace too!
After lunch it was visiting time at the hospital so we excitedly popped in to see my little nephew, Zachary in the neo natal unit. Now nearly 34 weeks he is doing so well in his little cot and I couldn’t love him more.
A quick phone shot of beautiful Zachary
So cute!
I am now doing daily vlogs too so filmed the weekend if you fancy a watch-
