A weekend of R&R.
Our first two weeks in Windsor.

Saturday was all about the CHILL. No work, school runs, homework or housework.
So half term was part 'chill out' time and part 'let's start prepping for our move down south'. We won't move until the summer and whilst I lived in London for 11 years before relocating back when Oliver was 1, it feels like quite a big move as we have two kids now.
So BIG ANNOUNCEMENT klaxon: we're moving back down South in the summer, to Windsor most likely, or close by in the outskirts of London.
Firstly, big thanks to Eurostar for inviting us to the magical town of Avignon in the South of France- and to the Avignon Tourist Board for their advice and generosity too-merci beaucoup!
We love Stockeld Park and a short drive from our house, means we spend many a weekend there in its beautiful acres.
Raithwaite Estate is one of our all-time favourite places to escape to, by the Yorkshire coast, in Whitby, just an hour and a half away from where we live.
Wow, are the Christmas holidays over already?! What a break! Where to begin with what we got up to?! Firstly, RELAXATION was the name of the day, every single day, amigos.
Oh the wonderful weekend, where did it go? It feels so long ago now and it's only Tuesday, and I'm missing running through russet fields at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and breathing in that crisp autumnal air, squinting at sunlight filtering through the trees.
We head to this family's happy place: the Yorkshire Sculpture Park for a day of running through leaves enjoying the outdoor sculptures and installations and admiring Wave: the iconic poppy sculptures which are part of a UK wide tour.
This summer has been glorious- a slower way of life for us all, al fresco dining when the weather allowed, a week in Spain, good times in the garden growing our own produce (hello runner beans and strawberries galore), inventing games, painting (in the garage with newspaper on the floor of course-I've not gone totally insane)...just being happy, b
The weekend just gone saw this family head to our happy place of the Yorkshire Coast to spend some quality down time in the breathtaking Broom House on Egton Bridge as part of the Dorset Cereals Dorset B&B Awards campaign.
I want to start by writing how incredibly grateful I am that this blog means wonderful travel opportunities for my family and I which allows us to see and experience parts of the world we've not visited before, both near and far.
More and more of us are holidaying on home turf here in the UK and we love a relaxing stay-cation with the best of them.
