It might not surprise you that this family of foodies likes to indulge in life and there’s no better time for a little luxury than Christmas is there?!
…Mum and I in particular were excited to receive one of Harrods Christmas Hampers choosing The Sloane to review this year, a luxury collection of traditional larder delicacies that all the family will love!
My parents usually host Christmas dinner in their home (and it’s quite a lavish affair with at least 5 courses-we don’t eat the week before as preparation !) but this year one of their award winning restaurants, The Olive Tree will be open for Christmas Day so we’ll be heading there instead.
Set in a stunning Victorian manor house, we will dine on Christmas dinner with a Greek twist but shall most certainly enjoy the Hamper on Boxing Day with family and friends! And what a treat it will be!
Love this-
This hamper offers some gourmet twists on teatime favourites, with a mustard tinged with Wiltshire ale, apple and dansom jelly, plum and port chutney, raspberry jam with a dash of cassis; and a loaf cake with apricot and ginger.
We generally have a buffet on Boxing Day so the relishes and jellies will be perfect with cold turkey, ham, cheeses and artisan breads and will see us through until afternoon tea with their afternoon tea blend, signature coffee and dreamy Chocolate Chunk & Cherry and Clotted Cream Biscuits and tea loafs!
Oh and let’s not forget the wine-Harrods Chianti Classico and Harrods Grand Reserve champagne (with citrus and hazelnut notes)-Cheers!
I’m hungry already, do you think anyone will notice if I tuck in from now?!

Yum! Hubby used to have one sent to him every year at his old company, loved foraging to see what treasures there were! Xx

Oh my goodness, that looks so fabulous, Vicki, just ideal for Christmas (I’m thinking my hard to buy for Grandparents – but ideally I’d want it for me!!). So luxurious! I hope you have tucked in, it looks to good to wait for, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything else…!
