A Greek Cypriot delicacy.
Late last year I shared that my family and I were filming something top secret for telly and now, finally, all can now be revealed.
As all you parents will know, it's rare to get 'couple time' when kids come along, and the last time Peter and I got a night away together was way back in June. A whole season ago then
I literally can't believe my baby boy, Xander turned 3 on Sunday, my charming, loveable, second born son is simply growing up too quickly and I'd like it to stop, STOP I tell you- I want him to remain my baby always, and I suppose he always will be just that, my littlest, youngest love.
Just over a year ago, thanks to a post I'd written on Mummy's Got Style, I was approached by the luxury designer baby bag brand Nova Harley to model for them. At the time I actually couldn't believe it (there might have been some booty shaking round my living room to celebrate)!
We're Greek Orthodox here (I was born in the UK, both my parents are originally Greek Cypriot), and as the Greek Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar to calculate when Easter falls, not the Gregorian, our Easter fell last Sunday just gone, a week after English Easter.
Blogging is utterly brilliant isn't it?! Thanks to my style blog Mummy's Got Style originally and this post HERE, stunning luxury designer baby bag brand Nova Harley hired me to model their beautiful changing bags, and nearly 1 year to the day, and 3 campaigns later, I'm hugely proud to be their model and ambassador.
My own Mum is my biggest inspiration, the smartest, most selfless woman who did a cracking job of raising my brother, Solos and I and offers me crucial childcare, support and love in raising my own two sons. I literally don't know what I would do without her. I always try to make sure my mum knows how much I appreciate her. From simple spontaneous texts telling her that I love her to glamorous nights out at the opera. However, I still like to make a big fuss about her on Mother's Day. Yes its driven by commercialism but who cares! It's the one day of the year that I can dedicate to the number one woman in my life! I didn't think my mum could be more amazing if she tried, but she has surpassed herself and is kindly offering one lucky reader the chance to win a £50 voucher for my family's multi-award winning restaurant The Olive Tree to be used this Sunday (15 March 2015) as an amazing Mothers Day treat!
The family got together for a little New Year's Eve shindig at our house this year which was just so relaxed and warm, and well, overflowing with laughter and love. A mush-ball of a sentence I know, but so flipping true.
It might not surprise you that this family of foodies likes to indulge in life and there's no better time for a little luxury than Christmas is there?!
We hosted Papa G's birthday at our house yesterday for an early dinner that saw me hitting the sack before my guests left (what a lightweight)!
I'm going to write a longer post another time but I wanted to share a quick shot of my fab girlfriends who've been staying with me this weekend (Sharmin has flown in from Amsterdam, Amancay travelled from London-we studied together at Goldsmiths', University of London).
Papa G a.k.a George Psarias loves a challenge so when Jet 2 asked him to smash some plates to celebrate new routes to the Greek island of Kos and the Catalan city Reus in Spain, he couldn't refuse and leapt/danced at the chance.
Such a fun night!
