Anyone who knows me, understands how much I love hanging out with my family. In fact nothing, NOTHING makes me happier than when we’re altogether, eating, laughing, eating, shouting (we don’t do talking, we’re Greek) and did I mention eating?! My family are utter happy-makers and that’s the ‘truth Ruth’!
Today was a special day as my glam Auntie Zak (above and below) who lives in Marbella was in town to visit her godson, my baby, Alexander and she brought along one of my favourite Aunties with her (they’re all my favourites-gotta say that) Auntie Loulla who owns award winning restaurant Kosmos in Manchester and often shares her recipes on this here blog!
So the whole day was spent with my boys chomping on Greek roast chicken, sweet potatoes and crisp green salad before a little piggy backing and Hello Kitty Karaoke-ing for good measure before heading to my brother’s place-Giorgio’s Italian Ristorante in Leeds for guess what, more eating!
My handsome brother Solos with lovely Aunty Lou!
Hello sirloin steak, seafood linguine and mixed fish platters. Yum!
Rolling back to the car after dinner, I suddenly realised I couldn’t give them a lift to the station as two kid’s seats were in the back (I’ve got a 7 seater but no idea how to get those extra seats out)…Auntie Zak toyed with squeezing into Oliver’s seat, tushie allowing to much hysterics before admitting defeat and calling my Dad back…so funny (maybe you had to be there).
Agh, my Aunties, I do love them!
Missing them already and they only just left.
