A Wintry Walk in Vertbaudet

We love to fill our weekends with wintry walks and precious family time, mostly eating, playing and enjoying all that beautiful Yorkshire has to offer us.

Last Saturday, Peter, my husband, took some fabulous shots inside our home before we headed out for a breath of fresh air at the RHS gardens Harlow Carr in Harrogate, close to where we live.

The kind folks at Vertbaudet sent the boys some vibrant, super cool pieces, perfect for the blustery weather, keeping them snug and warm, but stylish too-and these clothes will see them through the spring.

Pretty cushion (this one is a floor cushion but Xander wanted it on the sofa is c/o Emma Kaufmann Studio).

I love the classic striped Rugby shirt and poppy red chinos. Elegant British style meets Parisian chic, right?!

I love how happy my kids are here, as soppy as it sounds, these special joyous moments together really are the best days of our lives.

We followed a nature trail, ticking off birds, flowers, wheelbarrows and more from an RHS leaflet, as we wandered around the grounds.

The kids meandered through the gravel paths often hand in hand, stopping only to check for sprouting seeds in terracotta pots while Peter snapped away!

…After the quick jig, we gasped at the pretty pastel blue shed, had a peek inside and captured some more pictures!

I never thought I had a dream shed, but I do, and this is it!

After the brisk walk, we warmed our cockles with coffee for the adults and babyccinos and big Swizz milk chocolate coins from the famous Bettys, on site.

It was such a delight inside, full of pink hanging hearts and rose-adorned cakes for Valentine’s Day!

Dropping coins into the spiral charity box, we left with a spring in our step and big smiles on our faces. Absolutely the perfect Saturday! We might just return today!
