We ADORE living in Windsor and have never felt happier. We do of course, miss our family and friends but the minute we moved here, it truly felt like home. Aside from being staggeringly beautiful, everyone is so incredibly kind and welcoming in Windsor and I’ve made friends for life already which has been a wonderful surprise.
This year, we walked to the Windsor Royal Theatre just down the road from where we live, to enjoy uplifting and highly entertaining panto: Sleeping Beauty. With the Christmas lights twinkling along projected festive images beaming down on us from Windsor Castle, we arrived feeling full of festive cheer and ready for fun, fun, fun!
And Sleeping Beauty did not disappoint!
Now that Alexander and Oliver are 5 and 7 respectively, they can sit for hours watching films and theatre making family outings more enjoyable than ever. Xander’s little laugh is so contagious too, that Peter and I were bent over in laughter at him, as well as the panto which was the perfect mix of silly jokes and live action pies in the face fun. It’s also a wonderfully visual story children of all ages can appreciate.
Starring super ensemble cast: Basil Brush, Tom Baker, Jenny Ryan, Mike Read, Denise Pearson, Kecin Cruise and Steven Blakeley, this was a super-slick, heart-warmer of a production you must not miss. Growing up with Basil Brush on the box myself, made it extra special too.
It was two hours of pure joy for all the family!
With a full band too, excellent cast and beautiful singing throughout (the children were particularly impressive), we left dancing on air, feeling full of the festive spirit.
It’s on until Jan 7th.
