family style

Anyone who follows me here, knows that my obsession with fashion is real, and it’s not just confined to my own style either but also that of my sons’ too. Thank goodness that boys’ clothes have caught up with girls in the gorgeous stakes and and we’re no long short of bold prints, bright colours and diverse textures when comes to boys’ wardrobes.

Over the last year my kids dress the same for the most part after I popped them in identical pieces for a day out when we first moved to Windsor and they loved the fact they were matching so much that they asked if they could always dress that way!

It sure makes spotting my off-spring in a crowd that much easier! Plus, they never look cuter than in identikit clothes!

As Oliver is fairly tall for his age, we do sometimes struggle to find stores which do age 9-10 pieces with matching counterparts at 5-6 but thankfully my old favourite John Lewis, never fails us and these John Lewis Boys’ Whale Cotton Knitted Jumper in blue chosen by Oliver for both he and his brother suit them both down to a tee. A Tommy Hilfiger monochrome striped tee as it goes!

With white and blue stripe TH polo shirts underneath their soft jumpers, the boys look super-cool but are comfortable too, which is always the most important thing when it comes to kids’ style.

They are both wearing Toms pumps too.

Adorable!

Now for my outfit of the day #OOTD. My favourite style of dress for when the weather plays ball is a Bardot off the shoulder and this Yumi butterfly dress ticks all the boxes for me. Flattering, bold, with a bardot runching which stays in place (phew), this dress will get a whole lot of wear both here and abroad over the summer.

I paired it with scaled-back, delicate John Lewis Link Hoop Statement Drop Earrings in gold, and my new rose gold sandals from New Look. So pretty huh?!

I literally squealed with delight at the fact I could go out bare-legged in Windsor too after such a loooong winter in mostly 100 denier tights and wellies! Happy days!
