Setting off from Leeds to Newcastle on a grey and drizzly day on Saturday to celebrate the launch of Esso's Synergy Fuels, the rain surprisingly and much to the awe of my kids, soon turned to snow on the motorway mid-journey.
We certainly didn't expect it. And certainly not as much.
This year, it must be stated, we've had the most incredible fun decorating our Christmas tree (below).
Past years have seen me decorate our tree solo, or when little helpers have intervened, a few Christmas tree related disasters have followed: smashed baubles, twisted branches, tears over faulty twinkling lights and tantrums over tinsel I ended up binning (who likes tinsel over the age of 5 anyway?!)
Whilst I mourn the end of summer for the weather, I happily console myself in the fact the change in seasons means I can dig my Autumn/Winter wardrobe our, as well as treat myself to a few pieces in keeping with fashions top new trends.
The idea of earning money from shopping almost sounds too good to be true but fear not my dear readers, it is a THING and you can shop guilt-free knowing you're getting the best deals around with money back guaranteed!
For those who follow this blog know, I love finding beautiful pieces for my little boys to wear- cool, timeless, bright and most importantly, bold pieces that truly champion boys' style.
This year, John Lewis kindly sent us a 6 foot Argyle Green Fir Christmas Tree and asked us to choose decorations that caught our eye, to help our home look and feel festive!
Yesterday was a whirlwind of a day as I spent it in London with my Mum (we arrived the night before) so I could speak on a prestigious panel for Mode Media first thing (Mode represent the display ads on my blogs) and set up this breakfast meeting with a panel on pro blogging and brand endorsement for a large audience of major UK brands.
My work as a professional blogger is so diverse that no day is ever the same and I love it all, firstly documenting our lives as family right here along with my other passions-writing, food, beauty and style.
