We adore Next so when they got in touch recently to ask if we wanted some winter pieces for our wardrobe, it was a no-brainer.

One of my most favourite go-to high street stores for the boys, Next is simply bursting with stylish, well made pieces for kids and adults too.

I love their womenswear collection, particularly the pretty dresses (for day and night) from embellished dresses to day basics as well as the stylish jumpers in leopard print, and added frills. Next always get it right when it comes to shoes too. I have a pair of open toed silver sparkly heels from there that look like Gina’s and have lasted years.

But onto the look du jour with this velvet style LBD, a total dreamboat of a dress, I’m crushing hard on this right now.

Perfect for evenings out, date night or cocktails with the girls, this works played down by day and you know me, nothing should be reserved for ‘best’.  I wore this on Sunday for a day with the kids under a vintage 40’s coat of my Mum’s, and why not, hey?!

Velvet always makes me feel so festive. That and lace/ sheer panels in LBDs are just a must for me in winter. Luxe, elegant and timeless too, this dress will never date and goes with anything from leopard print accessories to bold jewel coloured heels. It’s such a beauty, I will wear and wear it this winter and beyond!

Giving their best ninja moves, Oliver rocks this navy motorcross tee , regular grey jeans and classic crew neck jumper in these pics.

Xander wears this Breton striped beauty: a navy and white stripe jumper and the tees are part of a multi pack (skate and stripe). I love the comfy jersey look jeans in grey here too. Classic pieces they will wear from season to season. The coolest of dudes.
