I do love kids’ winter style so as soon as the temperatures start to drop I love getting the boys layered up in jumpers and toasty warm coats, to see us through the freezing weather in Yorkshire.
Spring isn’t far away so I wanted to collate some of my favourite wintry looks for the boys before moving bravely, if the weather allows, into clothes for sunnier climes!
As a family we spend a lot of time outside, walking and enjoying the breathtaking Yorkshire scenery and we’re lucky to live in a village of equi-distance to Harrogate, York and Leeds surrounded by countryside at every turn.
Last week we took a trip to RHS gardens Harlow Carr in Harrogate where my husband Peter took some sweet photographs of the boys.
As it was a typical chilly February afternoon, I dressed the boys in these charming pieces c/o of Vertbaudet to keep them as snug as a bug in a rug!
Here I am snuggling up my bug!
Oliver wore this padded sleeveless puffer jacket and classic chinos (also c/o Vertbaudet) that will see him through to the spring. I adore the details of the wide pockets (perfect for twig, flower and pebble collections) and a cute hood. It’s amazing how grown up it makes him look! (Where is the time going???).
At least he still like a little dance in public, never too old for a jig by the trees!
How cute is Xander’s rugby-style striped top, also c/o Vertbaudet?
I love the different hues of blues which are really set off by these gorgeous poppy red chinos.
French style at its finest!
For the walk, I popped this A/W John Lewis coat (that both boys own) and Xander’s all time ‘never wants to take them off’ favourite Fireman Sam trainers.
Oliver’s leather boots are M&S.
The following day we headed to our friends Rachael and Richard’s house to eat Sunday lunch with our kids and theirs and I opted for chic Breton stripes for both boys for the day.
Rachael must have been on the same page as her daughter Holly was also in stripes! Too cute!
Oliver’s gorgeous and super soft long sleeved jumper is by one of our all time-favourite designers, Ralph Lauren Childrenswear c/o the kind folks at Base Fashion for Kids and Teens.
As you can see Oliver is pretty happy with it too!
So there you have it, stylish, chic boys’ style for the last winter month!
I hope you like the pieces as much as we do.
