Clashing prints is one of my all-time favourite trends.
As anyone who knows me will vouch, I’m no shrinking violet and I like my outfits to match my bold personality.
Clashing prints can be daunting at first, but as soon as you start, I promise you will fall in love with this eclectic and little bit crazy trend.
Generally when I go for this look (most days!) I try not to over clash.
Clashing even just two different patterns is no easy feat so working in a third is stepping into dangerous territory only walked by the most skilled fashionista’s (think Iris Apfel and Anna Dello Russo).
For this outfit I’ve mixed two very different patterns and kept the rest of the outfit neutral with a plain leather tote from Topshop and dark brown knee high boots c/o Jones Bootmaker.
Leopard is one of my all time favourite prints and this fur coat (faux of course) is my go-to winter/spring coat. I’m always a little bit sad having to stow it away during the warmer months.
Here I’m getting my ‘clash on’ by pairing it with this 70s inspired dress – 2 key trends in one outfit! Boom!
It was a lovely sunny day in here Yorkshire so I even got to don my Chanel sunnies! Isn’t the pink wall beautiful? The perfect backdrop for a style shoot! I’ve used it before and call it my ‘Instagram wall’!
However most importantly when it comes to clashing prints, the golden rule is don’t be afraid. Go BIG or go home (or big at home with clashing PJ’s if you’re truly scared)!
The thing I truly love about modern fashion is how individuality and non-conformity are totally and utterly embraced and celebrated! First and foremost, be yourself, love yourself and express yourself.
…And fashion is one of the most fun ways to do that!
Happy Easter to those celebrating too. As I’m originally Greek and Greek Easter falls in May I get to celebrate twice this year!
I can’t wait to see your posts!
