Welcome to an exceptionally inspirational Wonderful Women.
This week I'm speaking to Lliana Bird, who is a broadcaster, writer and co-founder of Help Refugees.
I reckon I might just be a bit of a Peter Pan ( why there isn't a female equivalent to the youth-chasing PP I don't know, but that surely requires a whole other post)- essentially my point is, I refuse to GROW UP or more so, I don't feel that different from the 21 year old girl I was erm, (Googles a calculator)-14 years ago (case in point)- despite two kids and 2 c-sections (ouch) and cement thick concealer to hide my my eye bags.
Let me start off by stating this post applies to Dads too, it's just 'Father Hustler' doesn't sound as cool as Mother Hustler and you know Mama's got some street cred going on right here so let's stick with it (ha, as if).
Leigh Kendall delivered her son Hugo at just 24 weeks' gestation due to the rare, life-threatening pregnancy complications severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. Hugo fought hard for 35 days but sadly he was too small, and premature.
Always a stationary lover, I have more notebooks in my house than dark chocolate bars (and that's saying something), lined ones, black ones, retro ones, flowery ones, neon ones that can't be lost, they're literally everywhere...by my bedside table, on my dressing table in between the perfume bottles and lipsticks, in my home office, the cupboard overflowing with wrapping paper and cards, on the playroom's art desk...you get the picture!

I have a problem. Lately I seem to be surgically attached to my mobile phone. I think we all are (aren't we?). It's been going on for a while now. I see it up and down the land from playgrounds to boardrooms and I don't want to be that girl.
Today is the premier of a new weekly feature on the blog: Wonderful Women Wednesday-The Interview, where questions will be asked of simply awe inspiring women from all walks of life to inform, inspire and entertain.
The blogging event of the century: BritMums Live is nearly upon us and I'm soooo excited to meet you all. Merging my two worlds of directing and blogging, I'll be there with camera kit and husband Peter shooting in tow, making a promo film for BritMums over the next 2 days.
