Not every day can be a good one.
So, I'm not usually one to throw a pity party in real life or online but you know what, I'm about to and it's going to be a full on get your freak on' pity RAVE, so I understand if you have another, non-whiney sweet as pie blog to hit right now and will kindly bid you goodbye... But if you can't look away, here it is: this last month has been one loooong viral/antibacterial hot mess of illness in this house. As you can imagine, it's all been rather rubbish.
Sleep-deprivation isn't just for parents of newborns, I'm still waiting for my 5 year old, Oliver to sleep through the night, every night. Really. Both he and Alexander are light sleepers like their Mama and both will usually wake up at least once a night if not more. Good times. ...And it's not just us who are suffering, the majority of parents I've asked recently, seem to be too. It appears we are all relentlessly searching for the holy grail of consistent sleep-argh remember the full 8 hours pre-kids. It's but a distant memory for myself and so many.
Duh duh duh...the truth about going from one to two kids... A lot of broody friends of one, have been asking me recently what life is like with two kids so I thought I'd write a few things that we've personally found changed for us as a family.
