Smart Things My 3 Year Old Has Been Saying Lately
I like to consider myself a humble, quietly proud mum who tends to share praise directly to my children, not the internet. That being said, huge disclaimer, every so often I cannot help myself (usually on their birthdays) and simply burst over their brilliance, and this post is dedicated to Florence, my third child, and only daughter, who truly blows me away every single day!
At her 2 year review, the health visitor was simply amazed by her vocabulary and memory retention and now aged 3, she’s ready to write her first novel (almost)!
She memorised her alphabet in a few days of singing, and her vocabularly is so extensive, I literally stop in my tracks, stunned as she applies a newly accumulated word every day.
Lately, she’s said the following,
“Ooh, this is going to be fantastic” when she chose some stickers in the post office. Stickers, books and stationery make her happy, just as they did me at her age (and still do)!
“I don’t want to eat that, I’m going to vomit if I eat it”. This was in response to me trying to offer her a fish finger sandwich in a cafe. She clearly wanted sushi being a spoiled third child and boujee baby-bahahah!
“Can I have some sunscreen Mummy, it’s sunny?”. I had no clue she even knew the word sunscreen. She told me that Alexander, her 12 year old brother had taught her it. Between her two brothers, my mother, who was a former lecturer, and Peppa Pig, it’s a school day every day for her clearly!
One of the many pros in having big age gaps between your kids!
“Can I have a cappuccino?” is what she asked me the other day at the cafe of the health club we’re members at. That will be a no!
“Oh look at the sunset, it’s pink and matches my dress”. No words!
That’s all I can remember for now but I’ll try and keep track of the smart (and funny) things she says, as I still look back at my collection of ‘funny things my kid says’ posts of the boys growing up.
The blog is my family archive after all! Apologies in advance for the boastfulness, normal service will resume shortly!
