As you’ve no doubt gathered from the title of this post, our Easter holiday to Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort was the perfect getaway for the whole family.

Pine Cliffs Resort, Portugal

Award winning Portuguese paradise, Pine Cliffs is one of the leading luxury and family resorts in Europe, an exquisite hidden jewel which overlooks the captivating coastline of the Algarve in Southern Portugal.

Pine Cliffs Resort, Portugal

Available to book through Jet2holidays‘ Indulgent Escapes brand, Pine Cliffs is an integrated resort that has everything on site with different options for accommodation from the main hotel to the residences we stayed at, Ocean suites and even properties for purchase if you want a piece of Pine Cliffs forever (and who could blame you)!

We flew from Newcastle Airport and experienced the BEST service imaginable from Jet2.com.

Honest Mum and family get ready for their Jet2.com & Jet2holidays holiday from Newcastle Airport

We were met in the airport and guided through check-in and we were greeted at Faro airport at Faro airport on our return too.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays go above and beyond in every way making travel stress-free and such a pleasure.

With allocated seating, Peter, my husband, and I were able to sit with a child each, on rows parallel to each other and we were able to pre order our food too (which was delicious by the way).

Since launching in 2003 with flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to Amsterdam, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have grown to become on of the UK’s leading leisure airline and package holiday operators, winning many awards including Best Airline UK-Trip Advisor. They offer and flights and holidays to 58 stunning city, sun and ski destinations across Europe from an epic 9 UK airports including new additions, Birmingham International and London Stansted.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays pride themselves on their friendly, award winning customer service as well as generous 22kg baggage allowance. Add to that, allocated seating, great family friendly flight times (no getting up at crazy o’clock) and the option to pre-order your food on flights as we did and it’s no wonder they’re growing at the pace they are!

Once we’d landed, a car collected us from the airport and off we went to the resort to enjoy our first day in the sunshine.

Honest Mum

Stunning, truly luxurious with stellar service (the staff are amazing with children), Pine Cliffs is a dreamy destination that kept the kids entertained and left us feeling like we’d all relaxed and had a holiday.

With the most amazing leisure facilities on site spanning golf, tennis, pools and water sports, we spent time in the pool (and the heated one indoors), hit the gym and played on the beach most days.

beach in Portugal

perfect beach

The boys loved their very first lesson with a pro golfer during our stay too and are starting lessons back home now thanks to the experience.

Porto Pirata children’s village (in the shade) was another firm favourite with the boys who spent hours playing on the wooden pirate ships and the bouncy castle.

The kids loved the Mini Golf there too (as did we bigger kids)!

We lucked out when it came to the weather, enjoying highs of 28 degrees and more, most days, lounging by the pool or building sand castles down by the sea, a lift and a walk down from the resort.

And these kids didn’t even need pools for entertainment-they were never happier than when the sprinklers came on!

They did still love the pools though!

We stayed in a huge 2 bedroom apartment with lounge, kitchen, utility room, our own garden and two bathrooms, in the Residence area, which was set up in 2007 specifically for families, a secluded haven that opens you up to the surrounding pools, beach, restaurants and the hotel too, which is a ten minute walk away.

We ate at most of the restaurants in the resort enjoying delicious, healthy, world cuisine at the eateries below:

Zest-healthy cafe

O’Grill

Beach Club Pine Cliffs by Olivier overlooking the Atlantic Ocean (which saw us get a takeaway on the beach too one day)

O’Pescador (on an evening)

Corda Cafe

..and the divine Mirador Champagne Bar with views to take your breath away!

There are more restaurants too, some were not yet open as it wasn’t peak season.

The evenings were relaxed and fun. I loved getting dressed up for dinner as a family.

Before watching the sun set together after dinner.

The Serenity Spa was out of this world and if we’d had more time I could have spent more time there. My gel nail polish was removed and I had a mani whilst I was there.

A truly magical place, we adored our time at Pine Cliffs in Portugal, returned feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and can’t wait to return again in the future.
