…As many of you know I’ll soon be setting off for the glorious Cannes Film Festival in the South of France… First up is a dress fitting for frocks for the festival and BritMums Live with Fever London (who are using pictures of me modelling dresses for them on their site here and here) in the capital and a crazy-early flight to Nice on Tuesday morning.
There will be no linkies on the blog this week but I can’t wait to share my time there with you all on my return here and over on my style blog mummysgotstyle.com.
This will be my 3rd time at the iconic Cannes film festival, having decided not to attend the last few due to little people. I really feel ready now to return for fabulous premieres, screenings, ‘eatings’, meetings and of course to let my hair down and party!
I’ve spent the last two years ‘in development’ on a TV project (with DLT Entertainment) along with my blog work but my background is also in directing.
If you’re not familiar with my film work then do check out my REVAMPED website VPSARIAS.CO.UK, designed by the brilliant Amee D’Souza who also made-over my two blogs!
You can watch my showreel- a 2 minute taster of all my directing work above and with perfect timing, the distributor of my multi-award winning short film BROKEN has announced it can now go online after an extensive TV and film festival schedule over the years.
Broken screened and won awards at film festivals internationally from India to LA and was broadcast on TV in the US, France, Cyprus and SKY TV in the UK. I was even followed in a documentary ‘Festival Roadtrip’ for Sky when it was nominated for an award at the prestigious Raindance Film Festival in London.
Broken is set in the 60’s and is loosely based on my own mother’s story as a Greek Cypriot immigrant to the UK, telling the story of Chrystalla who discovers her father is having an affair and tries to win him back!
The film starrs Peter Polycarpou, Lucy Christophi-Christy, Marianna Neofitou, Alexander Roy and Michelle Collins and you can watch it below:
