Florence at 1 is:
Funny with that contagious always smiling, toothy grin of hers.
Honey-scented in a way that makes me want to kiss her all day long.
Bite-y (ouch) when she wants to get her way (we’re working on it).
Affectionate as she sloppily tries to kiss our cheeks.
Chatty with her favourite words (mostly orders, that’s my girl)…
And kind (the kid’s a feeder and is always trying to share her food, even the stuff that’s landed on the floor. Yum).
Active. So energetic. She took her first steps on Saturday so here’s to a more mobile little Miss!
Those bambi eyes, that sweet, toothy grin, the way she looks like all the people we love, present and long gone, Florence simply melts my heart and has strengthed our already strong bond in ways we could never have known possible.
I feel so grateful to be experiencing these precious baby days again.
I yearned for a third baby for six years but my husband wasn’t sure. I’m so glad I was able to persuade him. He adores his one and only daughter.
I wanted to share some quick-fire phone photos for posterity.
For me more than you, if I’m honest.
A digital photo album.
Pigtails, rosy cheeks, bouncy caramel sunkissed curls, intense almond shaped, hazel eyes. Scorpio vibes.
I never want to forget this age. That’s what I value most about blogging, it’s a family archive I can reflect upon, always.
What a dream come true you are Florence. Better than a dream. You are my heart beat, my best friend, my inner child reborn, my smallest human of the trio and like my boys, Oliver and Alexander, my entire world.
Thank you to Aden + Anais for this pretty floral babygrow.
