Top blogger Honest Mum celebrates her 36th birthday

My 36th Birthday Dinner + My Most Favourite Vlog EVER

Saturday night was a complete whirlwind as twenty of my friends gathered at my brother’s beautiful Italian restaurant Giorgio’s in Rodley for fab Italian food, bubbles and a delicious two-tiered chocolate birthday cake. If you’re going to do it, you might as well do it right, hey?!

I’m going to let the pictures and vlog do the talking this time (she writes before a big old waffle) but I do want to say a great big thank you to everyone who made me feel so special last week: for travelling far and wide to get to Leeds, for their thoughtful gifts, stunning flowers, touching cards that made me cry real life tears (insert weeping with happiness emojis) and importantly for all their love.

That’s all the world needs hey: love.

And pretty black velvet and lace dresses 😉

Thank you Precis for mine!

Here with my great pals Lela of Lela London fame and Sharmin of Brand New Cravings who I’ve known since our uni days. Lela had just returned from LA and Sharmin flew all the way from Amsterdam to celebrate with me.

birthday party at Giorgio's Italian in Leeds

We rendezvoused with lots of friends at my brother’s Italian restaurant Giorgio’s which is set in a listed Victorian manor house in Rodley, Leeds.

It was so much fun catching up with friends, old and new-er. Caroline front right and I went to Sixth Form together and Louise and I met when both our kids started school three years ago.

Below I get my pose on with great friends Nicci Topping and Lela London. You might recognise Nicci from our annual trips to the Cannes Film Festival together. We first met when Nicci was a Casting Directing to a drama I was directing and we’ve stayed close ever since.

I adore the shot below of me with my big gob open, pre-laughter,  just how I like it 😉

Here with Jacqui from Mummy’s Little Monkey (every pic of us on the night has our eyes shut so I’ve had to run with this one)!

Happy times celebrating birthday

Now this is going to sound a bit mushy and a little cringe-y but birthdays are a great reminder of just how much you mean to others, and they, to you, and I spent last week floating on cloud nine thanks to my 6 year blogiversary and birthday double whammy.

Literally, my brain was flooded with endorphins and I’ve never felt happier.

…I must be getting old though as I’m only just recovering from the late night, four days later!

Don’t miss my most favourite vlog of all time below from the night!
