As a list maker and lover, and sometimes it must be said, forgetter of things I love and need-this week I’m noting all the lovely items we’ve been sent for review recently that are making me smile!
Thanks to my fab award winning (whoop) blogger friend Hannah of Mums’ Days for this Mums’ List linky that I’m joining in with!
A fan of the Birchbox sample boxes (you are sent 5 luxe samples to try each month), October’s box is a particularly special one as it’s raising awareness for breast cancer and #coppafeel educating women to check their breasts monthly.
First up- The Pixl by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm, perfect for low key make up days as it offers a muted pink lip colour and moisturises dry lips too. Oliver thought it was a natural lip balm and was a bit surprised with his pinky lips!
Other stand out products include Shaveworks ‘The Cool Fix’, perfect nourishing and cooling cream post-shave on my pins and I adored the Cattier Pink Clay Mask for sensitive skin too.
That, along with Dr. Sebagh and Cindy Crawford’s high tech skincare anti ageing sample ‘Meaningful Beauty glowing serum’ enabled me to get a facial finish at home. Lush!
The KMS California Tame frizz taming cream helped de-frizz my curls when combed through damp hair and is definitely a brand I’ll be returning to again as my curls were soft and bouncy when dry!
Finally, my youngest son Alexander loved the pink lipstick style Birchbox pen so much he decided it’s now his! A brilliant little box of loveliness; a great way to sample before you buy full size products.
Subscription £10 a month, £50 for 6, £90 annual.
2. Personalised Animal Alphabet Print
By Lou Designs, this dreamy print with Oliver’s name on it, now takes pride of place in his bedroom! As Oliver is learning to read and can spell his whole name since starting school in September, this educates as well as decorates. £25.
3. Lanolips Lovely Buttermilk Body Balm- Boots
This milky, triple Lanolin-y goodness contains lanolin, milk extracts and vitamin E-everything to make your skin soft and bursting with health and vitality
Applied to dry skin, it protects and hydrates perfectly. I love lashing of it over my whole body. £13.99.
My youngest hates baths, my eldest loves them but now thanks to Mini-U they both happily splash about together creating art at bath time. These natural wash off bath paints make getting clean fun and it’s actually dawned on me I might have little Damien Hirsts on my hands after watching their abstract swirling masterpieces at bathtime! Turning your bath into pools of colour, bath time has never been more joyous!
Includes 3x Bath Bombs Bang Fizzy Whizz, Bang Fizzy Wow, Bang Fizzy Pow (with a hidden toy surprise)
1x Fizzy Plops Bath Colour Tablets
3x Dunk and Doodle Bath paint Soaps Red, Green and Blue
2x Lovely Bubbly Coloured Bubble Bath Red and Blue
…they encourage art at bath time and really are fabulous fun!
What’s more, you can win a set worth £18.95 on my blog HERE.
5. Fever London Frocks
A lover (and sometime model) for one of my favourite boutique brands, I adore their 40’s and 60’s style dresses in particular.
Pretty, flattering frocks in jewel colours, nothing parallels their collections on the high street! The blue one above is the Harrison Jersey Fit and Flare Dress in Sapphire gifted to me to wear at Tots100 Blog Camp where I was speaking last Saturday, soft on the skin, chic and just my colour, I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it this Autumn/Winter!
So, do you like my picks, would love to hear your thoughts?
