A Greek Sunday Lunch

Daddy and son

I wanted to share this sweet photo of Daddy (Peter) and Oliver.

A Greek Sunday Lunch.

Oliver admires and emulates his Daddy like no other (their bond is unbreakable) and hats off to Peter who is simply the most patient and loving father (his years of Tai Chi really come in handy at 3am when a teething baby is screaming). And breathe….

Everything is equal in this house and he’s totally hands on (couldn’t have it any other way) and last night, like many others, we took it in turns to tend to a teething baby and 3 and half year old in the midst of nightmares when all we wanted was to sleep. Here’s hoping we get one night soon (crosses every body part crossable) when we all (in sychronicity) get to sleep through. Please boys?

…Today we visited one of my parents’ restaurants The Olive Tree for a gorgeous Greek Sunday lunch (because if you can’t get good sleep, you NEED good food)…and I managed to quickly capture this picture on my iPhone, a rare one of Peter who’s usually locked behind his Canon camera taking pictures of myself and the boys. We really need to get the tripod set up and snap some family photos of all of us.

…So after demolishing delicious Greek dips, succulent chicken kebabs and salmon, refreshing Greek salad and the Olive Tree’s famous Greek rice, we returned home as the sun came out and took it in turns to snooze under our apples trees, allowing ourselves to finally recover from the sleepless week before.

Bliss.

We feel (almost) normal again.

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Sunday too!
