My Favourite Summer Dress

As much as I love A/W fashion, whenever the end of summer approaches I get a little blue.

I’ve always loved the warmer seasons. Alfresco dining, girlie fun over a glass of Pimms, picnics with the kids in the park, long balmy evenings – the list goes on.

The return of jumpers, coats and all things woollen to the stores signals the last days of summer and the dawn of a colder, wetter, darker time. Sure, Christmas is pretty incredible – especially when you have children, but lets face it, January sucks and February isn’t all that either!

So this year I’m eeking out the summer for as long as possible! I’m taking the ‘glass half full view’ and I’m pretty optimistic that the last 6 weeks of the season will be decent (come on Mother Nature please don’t let me down, now!).

So for this week’s #FashionFriday I wanted to share with you my favourite summer dress that encapsulates everything I love about the warmer months.

I picked it up at the start of spring from a boutique in Puro Beach, a luxe resort in Marbella that I visited on a press trip with James Villas.

I love bold, bright pieces and this gorgeous abstract aquatic print dress is rather a show-stopper don’t you think?!

Made by a Spanish label, Don Amigo, it has literally been my ‘go-to’ dress this summer.

In fact, the eagle eyed fashionistas amongst you might recognise it from my annual pilgrimage to Cannes Film Festival.

In this shoot I’m wearing another of my summer staples – these gorgeous peacock inspired emerald green and crystal earrings by Yosa.

It’s an honour to be a brand ambassador for Yosa and I can’t enough of their statement pieces which are incredibly good value with these earrings priced just £11.

So I’ll be celebrating these last days of summer in this wonderful bright number (and I’ll pop a cardigan on if the weather lets me down).
