One of the first places my Mum took me to for brunch when we moved to Harrogate, was our new local farm shop Fodder.
Boasting a deli of dreams with gift shop (I’m forever having to stop my daughter Florence was toddler-handling the fresh fruit and veggies and pretty homeware); a welcoming, always heavily-populated cafe with outdoor al fresco dining area (perfect for dog parents) and a children’s play area (perfect for parents of easily-bored children) topped off with views of sheep-dotted rolling fields as far as the eye can see, making it obvious from first bite why Fooder is such a firm fave for the foodies of Yorkshire.
With ample parking (a breath of fresh air from living ‘down south’ for so long), a super cool food van on-site wittily named Fodder on the Hoof offering seasonal takeaway food and drink from hot freshly ground coffee to grilled burgers in baps (beef, chicken and chickpea respectively), ginger and oaty biscuits, sumptous cakes and cold drinks, it’s perfect for a quick bite or Sunday morning coffee for your stroll.
The deli’s shop is full to the brim with gift ideas from pottery to specialist chocolate bars, sweet jams, freshly baked bread, cakes and bun.
Receiving a hamper as a welcome gift to our new home recently, made our week.
