I don’t want to EVER NOT wear Bardot style tops and dresses…I’ll be the crazy lady rocking a cold shoulder come winter time, even if it snows…With the biggest faux fur you ever did see on top of course, because boy does my love run deep for a little sensual shoulder baring.
Flattering, alluring, classic and perfect for day or night, I’ve gone wild on bardot style everything and know I will never get bored of it.
This Shirred Floral Bardot Dress from Topshop is as perfect as bardot frocks come. So dreamy I bought it in black too.
Warning though, while it’s incredibly flattering, it’s not true to size. Since losing weight 6 months ago, I’m back in a UK 10 in Topshop pretty much across the board/different styles but this bardot dress is at least 2 sizes too big so the one in the picture above is an 8 as there were no smaller sizes (that was too big on me) and below is a 6. I don’t think I’ve ever been a size 6 in my life (even age 6 😉 ) so trust me when I advise you buy a smaller size than usual.
I love that the shirred/smocking material pulls in the chest (mine is a 32E) and arms which makes it incredibly flattering.
P.S baby blue rucksack is from Zara.
I’m wearing black Topshop platforms directly above which are super comfy (similar here), and the first photo sees me in my ‘princess shoes’ sparkly silver heels by Repetto bought in Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival two years ago, and are a brand who fittingly created for Brigitte Bardot who popularised their original ballet pump.
See, it’s all about Bardot in this post.
