Take friends you feel you’ve known forever, the cutest of kids including a three month old, a sushi feast to end all feasts (with lots of vegan dishes for me to boot), soaked in sunshine and good vibes and you’re left with the BEST OF DAYS.

A sun-ny son-day meeting adorable baby Neo and his beautiful big brother Xav, my brilliantly clever and gorgeous friend Ursula, blogger, consultant and speaker at Mumbelieveble and her hilarious husband Tim (who the kids adored-Oliver told him he looks 33 so has become his new BFF), joined us on Sunday for a peak around our new home for lunch and a leisurely walk by the river lapping up the autumnal wonderland that is Windsor right now.
We laughed, we put the world to rights and my broodiness level hit 100.

We all need days like Sunday where we can simply press pause, forget the daily grind, connect with like-minded friends and just BE.
Nothing hits reset like baby cuddles. A new baby reminds you of what truly matters in life: life.
Family, friends, food and views like this really are my favourite things.

…YO! Sushi Windsor gifted us the most delicious lunch (which the two generations loved) spanning my plant-based faves: avo maki, tofu katsu curry and enough rice to fuel me for weeks, and the rest of the gang enjoyed edamame and spinach gyoza, spicy pepper cauliflower and salmon nigiri, beef teriyake, chicken katsu curry and more.

It was easy to eat at home (YO! Sushi are available with Deliveroo but we live so close we popped in) and meant the kids could run around and play with their 178945704 toys after lunch, allowing us adults to eat and make silly boomerangs for Insta together before the sun came down!
The perfect Sunday!

What did you guys get up to?
P.S. My ovaries hurt.

P.P.S. YO! Sushi Windsor has a kids eat free offer on this half term. Check the site for the t&cs.
