So, I'm not usually one to throw a pity party in real life or online but you know what, I'm about to and it's going to be a full on get your freak on' pity RAVE, so I understand if you have another, non-whiney sweet as pie blog to hit right now and will kindly bid you goodbye... But if you can't look away, here it is: this last month has been one loooong viral/antibacterial hot mess of illness in this house. As you can imagine, it's all been rather rubbish.
July has been an interesting month, new work collaborations have come in, projects have moved in different and exciting directions, new friendships formed and my kids are growing into little boys from babies. What a month!
When Alexander was 3 weeks old, I was asked if I could pop by and give a lecture on my career as a writer/director at the Northern Film School/Leeds Metropolitan University. Despite being pretty sleep deprived and foggy headed, I agreed. You see overall I felt great-I was buzzing from the birth and physically and emotionally strong enough to go in for a couple of hours.
