Saturday saw us head out in the sunshine for a glorious day at the most tranquil and captivating of Georgian mansions: Beningbrough Hall in York.
It was the day before spring had officially sprung but the gardens told us otherwise.
We've always been huge fans of Mamas & Papas here, a brand that offers classic pieces for kids from cots to clothes and beyond, I love to showcase their products on the blog.
It's already Friday again with a new and long weekend upon us with the bank holiday in the UK (yay) so I thought I better share last weekend with you all, and quick!
I love reflecting on our weekends together, our precious family time, where we switch off from the week before, simply hang out, enjoy delicious food, at home, or out, and take in the lush Yorkshire countryside we live in and relax.
We're now back from a glorious holiday to Halkidi in Greece (1 1/2 hours from Thessaloniki) and have returned totally refreshed and relaxed full of vitamin D, uplifting sea air and great Greek food (of which you can see more of the latter in my post A Taste of Halkidiki)...
It's days like these are full of happiness, Betty's coffee and cakes, dirty wellies and smiley faces. Now the sun is out we can't wait to return again, observing the gardens grow through the seasons-what a joy!
Mother's Day has gotten me thinking about the simple things I love about motherhood, the little moments that make me appreciate being a mother more than anything in my life, when my kids aren't tantrumming of course, fighting over which Peppa Pig episode to watch or refusing OVER and OVER to share (yawn)....but here are the times when it's truly JOYOUS:
So when Serenata Flowers asked if they could send me a bouquet from their online collection to review and host a competition, I typed 'yes' and 'thank you' as quickly as my fingers could, before telling my husband he'd been let off the hook from flower buying duties for the next moth at least...Aren't they pretty too!
