I'm a pro-blogger yes, but also an award winning filmmaker and TV director, having made TV drama, documentary, short films, commercials and music videos in my time (you can see my website here).
Bonjour mes amis, I'm excitingly off to the Cannes Film Festival for a long weekend away and I simply cannot wait.
Welcome back people, it's #brilliantblogposts time again! Thanks so much for all the amazing posts linked up last week and for making this linky FLY!
To brighten up this Monday, I have an exciting competition for all your Shaun the Sheep fans out there-this Sunday (25 January 2015) you could be walking the red carpet with your family at the the world premier of Shaun the Sheep Movie.
It's a real honour to appear in a film for Kensington Mums' online Motherhood Exhibition, a place to celebrate and share honestly what motherhood means to many is key support for us all. It means we don't feel isolated and we can find voices we can relate to in this crazy world of parenting.
I mentioned on Facebook recently how mesmerized my son, Oliver, aged 4 1/2 was by the movie of the moment, the modern ET, Earth to Echo. I've never seen a film, any film effect him as much as this one.

When Alexander was 3 weeks old, I was asked if I could pop by and give a lecture on my career as a writer/director at the Northern Film School/Leeds Metropolitan University. Despite being pretty sleep deprived and foggy headed, I agreed. You see overall I felt great-I was buzzing from the birth and physically and emotionally strong enough to go in for a couple of hours.
No don't get too excited-I won't be attending this year *weeps. You see being up the duff is not ideal for party going Cannes plus I have writing commitments to get on with (must stop procrastinating and writing this blog, instead) but Cannes is AMAZING.
Presenting for BBC2.
