On the 9th of March, Jessica Huie MBE and I hosted our annual Passion into Pounds event (inspiring women in business) in collaboration with The British Library to mark International Women's Day. What a night it was! With a full-house and a killer panel, the energy was simply electric!
People tend focus on the downside of online life, how it can lead to a negative cycle of comparison which can tear away at your confidence or the inevitable trolling.
So BIG ANNOUNCEMENT klaxon: we're moving back down South in the summer, to Windsor most likely, or close by in the outskirts of London.
The title of this blog post might sound a little silly as what follows is an answer to a question not usually, if ever come to think of it, is asked of me (no doubt because I'm pretty well known for my deep, unwavering love of blogging and vlogging) yet it's one I want to document, for me as much as for you.
Read one of my most favourite posts and experiences ev-er!
I'm honoured to be a finalist at the BritMums in Brilliance Awards in the Social Media category so I thought it was high-time I shared my own social media tips for bloggers and business owners. Here's my Top 10.
I reckon I might just be a bit of a Peter Pan ( why there isn't a female equivalent to the youth-chasing PP I don't know, but that surely requires a whole other post)- essentially my point is, I refuse to GROW UP or more so, I don't feel that different from the 21 year old girl I was erm, (Googles a calculator)-14 years ago (case in point)- despite two kids and 2 c-sections (ouch) and cement thick concealer to hide my my eye bags.
What a glorious whirlwind!
If you want to succeed in business- and in life, you need to have a purpose, you need to work out what you're passionate about, what feeds your soul- and potentially your tummy (we all need dollar) and then you must work on finding the strength, means and time to make that dream a reality.
I'm SO incredibly excited to reveal one of my MOST favourite collaborations EVER in the entire history of this blog (6 years in November)- with the new and delicious line of snacks for kids: The Super Yummies!
Welcome to the sweetest, cutest and most heart-warming Brilliant Blog Posts ever! 100% guaranteed to make you go 'aaaaaaaw'.
A lot of people keep mentioning 'success' to me lately, some kindly comment that they feel I'm successful- and while that's flattering, it's made me question how I personally deem and measure success.
So Tuesday was a rather exciting day! Thanks to John at Dad Blog UK's recommendation, I was invited to Sky TV to film an edited version of my post on the Imposter Syndrome for 'Morning Stories' a series on Sky News where academics, bloggers and media experts share their opinions on all manner of topics from politics to well-being and beyond.
Let me start off by stating this post applies to Dads too, it's just 'Father Hustler' doesn't sound as cool as Mother Hustler and you know Mama's got some street cred going on right here so let's stick with it (ha, as if).
Can we take a minute to talk money.
Tuesday night saw me attend the opening night of 'The Girls' at the Grand Theatre in Leeds.
Recently I was invited to film with popular BBC presenter Mark Watson but with a frustrating clash of dates, I just couldn't make it to London for the shoot day- so did want any vlogger worth her salt would do, and vlogged a piece directly to Mark.
Since I started daily vlogging just 23 days ago, I've been asked lots of wonderful questions from my readers and social media followers, so I thought what better way to answer them than in a vlog.
