Timeless, elegant and utterly glamorous, diamonds really are a girl's best friend.
In fact, it was Elizabeth Taylor who once said, 'big girls need big diamonds' and as someone with BIG hair and an even bigger personality, I can testify that much is true!
I was amused to see the trend #buynothingday emerge via twitter on the now renowned #blackfriday at the time. As we are about to enter into another year I wondered if this was time to start the trend #nodietjanuary? In my opinion we need to be more holistic and realistic about our health and in particular our weight in 2017. Here are my top tips to create the right trend for you:
Since leaving London, almost 6 years ago, after eleven years in the capital, I've often questioned whether we were, my husband and I, 'tired of life' as John Samuel's famous saying goes, when we departed.
A good night's sleep is essential to children's health and wellbeing, yet - as many of you guys will know - convincing your little ones to get their '40 winks' is never easy. So much so, my husband and I call our two sons, Oliver, 6, and Xander, 3, 'the sleep thieves'.
Wow, are the Christmas holidays over already?!
What a break!
Where to begin with what we got up to?!
Firstly, RELAXATION was the name of the day, every single day, amigos.
Setting off from Leeds to Newcastle on a grey and drizzly day on Saturday to celebrate the launch of Esso's Synergy Fuels, the rain surprisingly and much to the awe of my kids, soon turned to snow on the motorway mid-journey.
We certainly didn't expect it. And certainly not as much.
It's the most wonderful time of the year isn't it?!- and that means little ones deserve utterly darling, stylish and super-comfortable shoes to wear this winter for parties, family fun, and most importantly the big day.
Within the gorgeous gift bag I left with after the wonderful dinner with Antonio Carluccio himself a few weeks ago, were the ingredients to recreate his exquisite pappardelle al funghi-so I gave it a whirl at home.
I hope you love it as much as we do!
The theme of Christmas this year seemed to be relaxation for us-pure uninterrupted family time, with a self imposed social media silence allowing me to focus solely on the little ones.
Last weekend saw us pack up our bags and wrap up warm for two nights at Cowslip Cottage in the quaint village of Sleights, one of many luxury cottages within the Gorgeous Cottages portfolio.
This year, John Lewis kindly sent us a 6 foot Argyle Green Fir Christmas Tree and asked us to choose decorations that caught our eye, to help our home look and feel festive!
