Saturday night was a complete whirlwind as twenty of my friends gathered at my brother's beautiful Italian restaurant Giorgio's in Rodley for fab Italian food, bubbles and a delicious two-tiered chocolate birthday cake. If you're going to do it, you might as well do it right, hey?!
Owning a Range Rover has always been on my Bucket List yet I never expected to my youngest son, Xander, to own one before me! What a lucky little dude!
Wednesday saw Mum and I head to Leeds to surprise my gorgeous cousin Georgia for her 21st Birthday. Georgia had no idea that we, or her folks and brother, would be turning up to the Alchemist in Trinity, Leeds, to celebrate her special day with her.
It was my Dad, George's birthday on Friday so I wanted to arrange something a little bit special for the big man this weekend, and Gorgeous Cottages were just the company to call.
This weekend saw us ensure 'passportgate' never happens again with a trip to very lush Liverpool, one of our favourite cities in the UK, to submit and order Oliver's new passport (yay)!
Gloriously sunny for the most part it was ice creams at the docks and some shopping in my favourite city of style, with new jeans and shirts for Peter, Topshop frocks for I and some toys for the boys...
This Sunday I turn 34 and on the 10th my blog turned a whopping 4! Honest Mum was officially born on the 10th of November in 2010 but like to celebrate my very FIRST POST along with my birthday!
I can still refer to him as my baby right? My little darling Alexander is 1 today (Happy 1st birthday baby Alexander-I'm still calling him baby!) and I really can't believe it. I feel a little emotional and might have had a little cry. It actually feels like yesterday I brought him home from hospital, all thick black hair and chubby cheeks.
The folks at PaperShaker kindly asked to compensate me for writing a review of their pretty cards and they must have read my mind as they got in touch right when I needed them, for christening invites and baby thank you cards.
Yesterday my baby child turned 3! 3 whole, flipping years! It seems like yesterday I brought him home from hospital all tiny and sweet (now he asks me questions I can't answer like, "If lions can't talk, why can Raa-Raa, Mama?" Well Cbeebies, what have you got to say for yourself?
Wow, it's my blog's 2 Year blogiversary (well it was on the 10th but I'm combining it with my 32nd birthday) and I can't quite believe it: two whole years since my very first post and I'm no longer 16 anymore. Shucks.
...It's party time. Well not until tomorrow but it's imminent. The '2 year old in a teenager's body' is having a party. We've selected the venue (his favourite softplay centre): small, easy to get to, fabulous toys including his favourite 'the oven', always pristine sans the ubiquitous childrens' dribble and I don't actually have to get into the ball pit as visibility from the seating area/magazine stand is peripheral.
