Room On The Broom Corn Maze Experience At Twycross Zoo

Twycross Zoo is always a good idea!

And last weekend was even more magical as usual as we experienced their Room On The Broom Corn Maze with pumpkins a-plenty, sweet Halloween treats, ‘a broom ride’ with a difference, where my daughter, Florence, 4, felt part of the story thanks to a real life broom and super photo momentos to take home, and a tour of the enchanting Gruffalo Discovery Land afterwards. Twyford Zoo is where Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved books are brought to life, brilliantly and you mustn’t miss this new experience suitable from babies in prams to tweens and teens, like my older children who loved it as much as their sister who said it transported them back to their childhood.

An extension to Twycross Zoo’s Gruffalo Land on-site it was like nowhere we’ve visited before! Dotted with adorable characters such as The Witch and The Cat from Room With The Broom, you can continue the trail past vast and captivating sculptures of the Gruffalo, Mouse and friends with even the BBC animation playing within a woodland-themed cave, fully immersing you into the stories.

Set in the heart of England on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border, Twycross Zoo is an internationally recognised conservation charity and award-winning visitor attraction, giving visitors a fun and educational day out with a difference.

Twycross Zoo is also home to hundreds of animals such as orangutang, giraffes, penguins, meerkats and more as well as outdoor play areas, splash pads, indoor soft playgrounds and ever-changing special themed events like the one we were invited to!

It’s a wonder to behold, engaging and entertaining young and adult minds alike!

We’ve visited before, and this certainly won’t be the last time either. There’s always so much to do and see that every visit to Twycross Zoo feels different and unique!

The food is fabulous too and we enjoyed hearty bolognese and Arrabbiata pasta dishes; veggie pizzas and hot and cold drinks, at The View restaurant on-site, situated beside a soft playground Florence never wanted to leave! The staff went above and beyond to be affable and kind despite how busy they were too. Everyone at the zoo is so child-centred, inclusive, knowledgable and clearly love their jobs, ensuring your visit is special and rewarding.

The zoo spans across 100-acres and exists to support conservation, education and research of some of the most endangered species on the planet.

We fell in love with so many furry, super-tall (hello Mr Giraffe) and wonderful winged friends, and even got to see the penguins being fed!

What a memorable visit, thank you Twycross Zoo!

This was a complimentary visit with overnight stay and meals covered by Twycross Zoo in return for this honest review. The Room With A Broom Corn Maze experience is on until November 1st.
