Our homeschooling journey so far.
Another fab family day out at the races.
My first camping trip.
These two having the time of their lives.
Sunday was all about 'wind-down time' after a slightly wild Saturday night celebrating my birthday with twenty friends (post to follow). So fresh air, a long walk in the forest, hot chocolate and heartwarming food with friends and family was just what we needed, and the perfect place to find it all (and more) was Stockeld Park.
Let's not pretend the summer holidays at 6 or more weeks off school for kids, are not tough to get through. Yes for SOME, some of it, it's fun in the sun (when it doesn't rain so 2% of the time) but for a flipping mammoth amount (read 5 weeks) my kids tend to want to kill each other, me, wreck my house, and my mind.
A Family Workshop at the Exquisite Harrogate Chocolate Tree (& Win a Trio Chocolate Easter Egg Worth £20)
Saturday was certainly a dreamy affair for this family of chocolate-lovers as we rendez-vous(ed) in Harrogate for a chocolate workshop at new chocolatiers Harrogate Chocolate Tree- and proceeded to spend the most delicious two hours of our lives creating chocolate treats together, tasting, decorating and basking in all things cocoa!

Life can sometimes feel like a non-stop rollercoaster can't it, juggling family life, work as I/we try to be everything to everyone. The last few months have seen me take time out more, to relax daily and prioritise on what really makes my family and I happy. I always say, happy parents, happy children.

Last weekend saw us pack up our bags and wrap up warm for two nights at Cowslip Cottage in the quaint village of Sleights, one of many luxury cottages within the Gorgeous Cottages portfolio.
I love Manchester, it reminds me of London-vibrant, multi-cultural, eclectic and a friendly city to boot with just so much to do and see for all the family.
Isn't March turning out to be luminously glorious in the UK? My family's certainly relishing in this window of unexpected sunshine, fully enjoying a more outdoorsy way of life after being cooped up for what feels like forever this winter, set free to roam around, a renewed spring (and a jump) in our step. Yay!
