Ooh La La – French Style with Melijoe.
A fan of things French, fashion, food, film and with a husband who is part French, it’s inevitable that I admire and covet French brands for myself and my family. So much so, my second wedding dress (I luckily got two weddings to the same man, was by the famous French designers Cymbeline.
Effortlessly chic, never too try-hard, often with a classic palette (navy, cream, camel, black, red-with brands that break that mould too of course) from small babies, my boys have worn French brands bought in the UK or on holiday in France, be it Petit Bateau, Vertbaudet, Tartine et Chocolat, Le Carrousel, Emile et Rose, Frangin Frangine, Catimini, La Queue du Chat, Ryckiel Enfant, Chloé, Kenzo Kids, Little Eleven Paris and Junior Gaultier.
Now, with great ease I can purchase many of the French brands (I) j’adore (!) under one single online roof the gorgeous: Melijoe
Here are a few of my favourite pieces for boys and girls:
Petit Bateau
Breton stripes are the ultimate in Parisian chic and one of fashion’s most timeless prints. The beautiful red bow compliments the navy and white stripes perfectly and I love the button detail on the shoulders of this adorable dress. If only they had it in my size! (£21.91)
The yellow rain mac is the coat ‘du jour’ for little and big people right now. I love the breton striped lining in this waterproof waxed jacked (£57.41) and the lemon will brighten up any rainy day. Also available in navy.
Continuing the navy and white theme into bedtime, I love these Grandpa-style gingham pyjamas – stylish but most importantly super-comfy! They are priced at £26.44.
Tartine et Chocolat
This sequin dress (£79.32) is simply divine and embodies the classic glamour of Grace Kelly aka the Princess of Monaco. It would make the perfect bridesmaid dress too!
Another beautiful dress (£83.10) for little princesses. It comes in a stunning shade of cactus green and I love how the stylish cut is contrasted by the girly frill on the shoulder.
Kenzo Kids
This beautiful dress by Kenzo Kids (£67.99) is perfect for summer. I love the vivid floral print and bow detail.
Catimini
This striped cotton shirt (£41.55) is super stylish. I love the pocket detail and embellishment on the arm.
This fab two piece is super cool and also good value at £49.10 for both pieces. Alexander and Oliver love animals, so the tiger print design is real winner with the boys!
