I heart this monochrome heart print dress (get it? Soz) I do, though, isn’t it gorgeous? Soft, flattering and perfect for day or night, I wore this pleated dress on Saturday for a festive break at the Royal Garden Hotel with family and friends, layering it up with a cardigan, thick coat and scarf to fight the cold whilst out, un-peeling the many layers when it came to nestling inside the warmth of our rooms, enjoying room service and basically living out our best lives, the radiator on full blast.
I know I’ll wear this dress forever. You know the kind, the ones that fall in all the right places and just feel ‘you’. That is unless I expand in waistline as this is a UK 8, a size I often wear in Next as they tend to be generous. I even have some 6s from the store. I now veer between an 8-10-8 was unheard of pre the York Test and yoga but more of that in a post in the new year- plus I’ve definitely indulged a lot this Christmas season but the pleats are the perfect foil for many mince pies and I love that the mumtum is concealed thanks to them, and the neckline can be buttoned with a clasp or left open if you prefer for an evening look.
This took me right into evening too as my best friend Carlie and I partied at Mahiki once the kids were asleep and the men were on duty.
We’ll pay them back with a boys’ night out soon.
What a beaut, don’t you think?!
