I’m a huge fan of fish finger sandwiches. They were one of my favourite childhood treats but as I got older I became more and more intolerant to gluten which meant I couldn’t indulge as much as I liked.
I do still eat gluten here and there but if there’s a gluten-free choice, I’m all over it so hooray for Birds Eye‘s new gluten-free fish fingers!
They come in a 12 pack and are made with 100% fish fillet.
Now with their fish finger sandwich awards coming up, I wanted to see if the gluten free versions could pass the taste test!
Bird Eye’s inaugural fish finger awards launch on November 3rd to coincide with National Sandwich Day and offers the opportunity to be crowned King or Queen of fish finger sandwiches!
To enter, simply create an outstanding fish finger sandwich recipe that’s guaranteed to dazzle the judges! If you win, your recipe will feature on on select packs of Birds Eye fish fingers. Fish finger fame beckons people! 😉
For inspiration, I decided to create my own gluten-free fish finger sandwich recipe and went all out!
Oh hey there good looking…

They taste as delicious as the originals (if not better)!
We served ours with sun-dried tomatoes, peppadews, chillies, jalapenos and olives on the side. We’re serious about fish fingers sandwiches here!
