With my Grandma being ill, we've all been cherishing quality family time more than ever recently.
My beautiful cousin Georgia (her Dad who is the double of George Clooney-for reals- is my Mum's brother), whom I've always been close with, recently started University nearby so she spent last weekend with us, hanging out, shopping, watching movies (The Bling Ring is so underwhelming, please don't bother) and encouraging me to buy a onesie (really!).
Last Sunday we spent the day with Rachael, Richard, Holly & Henry for a roast at the Olive Tree, one of my parents' restaurants followed by park time with the kids and a long walk in the Autumn sunshine to work off the large lunch.
I was really honoured to guest post over at Transatlantic Blonde's fabulous What I Wore Wednesday slot last week. I adore a great hat and I picked this bad boy Fedora up from Oxfam for £8 (originally M&S and never been worn before) to add to my collection.
A stripe-lover, this Sunday I wore my latest buy from Phase Eight, a 'Stripe Cindy Tunic' in Mushroom/Ivory for a laid back lunch and post cinema trip. Loving discovering cool backgrounds for these shoots too.
The other day, I received an exciting email from online sunglasses boutique Pret a voir asking if I might like some Chanel sunglasses to model and review. Obviously this took a lot of careful thought and consideration as you can imagine....So about half a millisecond later, I gracefully accepted while dancing round the living room!
Those who follow this blog you'll know that I adore clothes; designer, high street, vintage, clothes for me, the kids and heck even sometimes clothes for the husband and my Dad (at least I'm helping the economy)-I just hope my accountant's not reading this!
We all do it, put ourselves down, tell ourselves our bodies are not good enough, slim enough, curvy enough, toned enough and nothing puts the pressure on like the summer months. Well it needs to stop. And now.
I promise to bring you the best of fashion finds as I source them, be it from PR samples to good old retail therapy. I can hear my husband heavy breathing as I type, but it's my duty to you fashionistas, right! Hehe!
Like most women, I adore beautifully made hand bags and shoes. They can transform an outfit and instantly reflect who you are or how you feel that day. What's more, bag and shoe shopping do not rely on a certain body size or shape and suit everyone. Last week I decided to treat myself to an investment Mulberry bag.
Those who follow this blog might have noticed a little re-brand recently (hello new scarlet profile picture) from shots taken on a recent shoot I had with the super-talented Kirsty Mattsson.
Style Spotlight shines a light on my style picks. I adore the British brand Mulberry and couldn't resist adding to my collection with this brilliant, bright orange continental wallet. Luckily, I picked it up in the sale for £180 from £225. What's more, in that colour, I can never lose it in my bag. Perfect.
When Baby Burlington got in touch offering to send baby Alexander some of their exceptionally cute clothes, I just couldn't resist. Not only are all their designs produced solely using solar and wind energy (yes, REALLY) but they are also hand painted in the pretty Devon countryside making each one totally unique.
I'm so grateful to receive beautiful blogger's perks and was literally bowled over when the fabulous family run online boutique The Essential One sent us stunning gifts for Baby No 2.
Preparing for Baby No 2's arrival got me thinking back to other monumental days and most recently our wedding day-we celebrated our 7 year anniversary (6 years since the Greek wedding, 7 since the English) last month and time has truly flown by!
I love to rock a vintage frock so when Little Vintage got in touch offering to send some stunning vintage clothes for the toddler, I was simply ecstatic! The coolest of clothes from newborn to 6+, this online vintage boutique is the first of it’s kind and brings beautifully made, vintage pieces from all over the world into one place.
