A day at the RHS garden Harlow Carr, mostly muddy puddle jumping!
I’ve been meaning to write this post for ages-a perfect if not slightly muddy day (see puddle jumping GIF above of Alexander) as we embarked on an Easter egg hunt at the RHS Harlow Carr gardens in Harrogate (now even closer to us since moving house) where the kids explored, played, smelt flowers and hunted for golden Lindt (sadly inedible) bunnies.
It’s days like these are full of happiness, Betty’s coffee and cakes, dirty wellies and smiley faces. Now the sun is out we can’t wait to return again, observing the gardens grow through the seasons-what a joy!
Another of our Yorkshire happy places. Now if only that big bunny had been edible!

@Mirka thanks sweetie, I know, he’s big for his age too-already wearing 2-3 clothes and he’s 18 months-super tall x
This looks great fun x
@Susankmann thanks it was x
Oh wow it’s great to see another RHS garden – I know Wisley really well. I’ve heard great things about Harlow Carr and the Easter bunny trail sounds like great fun. Love the photos and the puddle jumping smiler at the beginning! I hope the move went ok lovely and you’re feeling a bit more settled #whatsthestory
@CharlyDove thanks so much, Wiseley is beautiful too, we always love a good RHS garden and they are really child-friendly too. We feel really settled in our new home too, thanks xx

Brilliant timing! Hubbie bought me RHS membership for my birthday and we are hoping to visit one of their gardens in next few weeks but weren’t sure how child-friendly they would be. Now we know!Looks like you all had fun.
Oh you will love it, we adore our membership and the Harrogate one is really child-friendly and we all loved Wisely too!
Lovely photos and videos of your handsome boys having a great time playing, I do love Alexander’s face after splashing in the puddle – pure joy! I hope that you eventually received some chocolate as a reward from the hunt, thanks for linking up and sharing your fun with Country Kids.
@Coombe Mill thanks lovely, so nice to finally be able to link up with you again! There was lots of lovely dark consumed by me x
Great pics… love that salmony pink coat on you. BTW if that bunny had been edible I would have expected my share 🙂
