Video: My Designer & High Street Handbag Faves.
I love bags, all bags (and shoes, dresses, jewellery and beauty products too of course) so those are things I share a lot of, over on my YouTube channel.
A fair few of you enjoyed my recent Louis Vuitton neverful bag unboxing video and also What’s in my Handbag video too, so I thought I’d pull out some of my favourite high street and designer bags from my wardrobe and share them with you all in this next video.
From Anya Hindmarch to New Look, I show you the bags I love with all my heart and why.
My husband often asks me, baffled it must be said, why I need so many bags. And here’s the thing, I don’t need them all, I want them- they’re an expression of my personality and mood, current trends and times in my life-just like all fashion, is.
Yes they each have a purpose (they hold my complete life in some cases or just my lipstick and phone, if a small clutch) but they’re more, much more than that, they make a fashion statement or remind me of a favourite place or person, a moment in time, a memory and they often reflect goals met too.
I sometimes treat myself to bags when I achieve something special in my life-be it having babies or ticking work-related boxes. Other times, I save and save purchasing a bag I’ve lusted for, forever!
I remember the first designer bag I bought at uni: a small Burberry clutch in its signature print I fell for whilst browsing in store one afternoon. Taking on a part time job at a stylish shoe shop near my campus, I lived on lentil soup for months and felt so proud hitting Harvey Nicks eventually, picking up that bag.
I used that clutch for years and years, club nights and special occasions and still vividly remember that moment of handing over my hard earned cash for something I loved so much.
I still feel that way today when I shop. I love the thrill of buying something beautiful and new-be it high street or designer. Don’t you?
…Right, I’ve waffled on enough now, why not watch the video and check out all these bags!
