I’ve loved YO! Sushi since I first discovered them in 2009 as I lived near Whiteley’s Shopping Centre in West London and this was the first branch to launch takeaway and delivery services. The chain first opened in 97 though and they’ve been groundbreaking as restaurant as they became the first catering group to adopt the Food Standards Agency’s traffic light colour coding system, allowing you to see nutritional information on the dishes. I love the open plan style of the branches and often spend more time watching the chefs create intricate sushi than chat to my fam. Soz guys!
I actually want to book on a sushi making course at the YO! Sushi school and I know the kids would love to join the Mini Ninja Classes as keen cooks and bakers, will love the opportunity to get their roll on!

This post is a great bit thank you for all the amazing meals and takeaways they’ve gifted us lately, from a spectacular afternoon tea to celebrate the Royal Wedding to delicious picnics in the park and a recent takeaway lunch with my pal and stylist Lauren which helped us refuel when we hit the sales. Nothing beats sushi with a view and we had Windsor Castle as ours!
From the freshest Salmon and Tuna Sashimi to Nigiri Maki, Chicken Katsu curry and beyond, there’s so much to choose from, whatever your tastes and dietary requirements.
You might be surprised to learn that there’s lots of plant-based fare on offer for me too and they always customise my avocado maki omitting the mayo. With Vegetable Tampura, Tofu Katsu Curry, Inari Nigiri (soft bean curd), Harusame Aubergine and so much more, I’m always spoilt for choice.
They’ve recently reintroduced their Green Wednesdays too where any veggie or vegan dish is just £2.30 each. Yay!
