On the 2nd of July, I had a wonderfully girly day with my glam Mummy (another Mummy with style) in London as we attended the Jacques Vert press day at the very swanky No. 5 Cavendish Square.
A firm favourite brand of my Mum’s, I was pleasantly surprised at how stunning the collection on show from the Jacques Vert group was, in particular Planet and Kaliko which come under the JV umbrella with jumpers featuring lace trims, stunning chic soft leather dresses and vibrant, flattering coats in mustard, cream and black -beautiful, classic shapes that were effortlessly stylish.
Hats off to them-as you can see above, I will be rocking this red hat come winter!
I also fell for these floral print wellies from Dash (also under the Jacques Vert umbrella)-pretty huh?! Adore the sunflower styling too!
I almost willed away the hot weather we experience so I can get A/W ready NOW!
Now, the absolute show stoppers of the collections were cocktail dresses borne of Jacques Vert’s collaboration with former Bellville Sassoon designer Lorcan Mullany (designer to the stars including the late Princess Diana, Helen Mirren and more recently Rosamund Pike and Taylor Swift).
A gentle genius of a man, I was honoured to meet him and discuss his vision-making timeless glamour accessible on the high street without compromising on style and quality. I adored his passion and love of his craft.
It was also a joy and inspiration to meet Teresa Tideman, CEO of Jacques Vert who truly understands what all women want from a label: sophisticated, luxurious but affordable pieces for day and night.
Lorcan has designed 12 key dresses ideal for Christmas balls and parties from shorter off -the-shoulder numbers in black, red and blue to full length flowing cocktail dresses with ruching to taper in the waist and diamantes for that sparkle factor we crave at Christmas.
I know I would feel a million dollars in every single one of them!
I only wish these dresses had been available when I attended the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year-they are true red carpet wonders, staggeringly beautiful pieces to behold!
A fabulous day filled with magnificent pieces I can’t wait to review, Mum and I took in the sunshine with champagne, canapes and a personal illustration by the gifted Zarina Liew, freelance fashion illustrator and comic of Cobalt Cafe.
I love this so much, I’m getting it framed to go above my dressing table!
I was so utterly impressed with the pieces showcased, I literally can’t wait for Autumn/Winter now!
